Last semester, by a happy coincidence, I participated in the on-campus Indonesian course. Although it was only for a few short months, I really felt that I gained a great deal.
Due to the pandemic, the course was conducted via remote online teaching. Every day there was about an hour of thematic instruction, taught in Indonesian, teaching us the Indonesian words for different things, followed by splitting into two medium-level classes based on proficiency to review the day's content.
After this period of training, I truly made progress and gained a better understanding of Indonesian culture, especially in speaking. Although I can't converse normally yet, at least my reading has become more fluent, and my accent has become more authentic!
