Guidelines & Regulations
Eligibility & Duration
Applicable to: International students who do not hold overseas compatriot status or R.O.C. nationality.
Maximum Duration:
- Bachelor: Max 4 years
- Master's: Max 2 years
- Doctoral: Max 3 years
*Students receiving full scholarships from R.O.C. government institutions are not eligible.
Application & Review
How to Apply: Submit the "Application Form for the International Student Scholarship" to the International Affairs Office (IAO) during the admission process.
Review Process:
- IAO compiles applications based on academic records, language proficiency, and department recommendations.
- Review by the University Recruitment Committee.
- Final approval by the President.
Note: Any falsified information provided will result in disqualification and the return of received funds.
Important: Disqualification Criteria
Students will be disqualified from continuing to receive the scholarship if:
- Academic Performance:
- Bachelor: Prev. year avg < 75.
- Master's/PhD: Prev. year avg < 80.
- Research Output (For Type A/B Recipients):
- Master's: No Scopus paper accepted/published within 1 year.
- PhD: No Scopus paper accepted/published within 1.5 years.
- Conduct:
- Conduct score < 80 or Minor Demerit: Downgraded 1 level.
- Conduct score < 75 or Major Demerit: Cancelled.
- Status Changes: Failure to register, suspension, transfer, or returning from suspension.
