What documents do I need to prepare to apply for a residence permit (ARC)?

 

  1. First-time immigrants (admitted but not registered): passport, residence visa, Certificate of Admission, proof of residence in Taiwan, and a front photo (two-inch size) half-length body taken within the last two years.
  2. First-time entry (admitted and registered): Passport, residence visa, certificate of admission, certificate of enrollment or student ID, certificate of residence in Taiwan, and a two-inch half-length front photo taken within the last two years.
  3. Resident extension: passport, alien residence permit, certificate of enrollment or student ID, and a two-inch half-length frontal photo with hat off within the last two years.
  4. Personal data change registration: passport, alien residence permit, and proof of the change (if necessary, the relevant proof of the changed data shall be attached, such as the updated passport, the loss of the reissued person shall attach the loss declaration or the report certificate) and a photo of the two-inch half-length body taken within last two years.
  5. Those who have graduated must stay in Taiwan: take the graduation certificate, passport, and related documents to the Immigration Department to apply for the extension of the residence permit.
